Trip summary
We went to have breakfast at Macdonald before boarding the coach. The pick up point at Bedok is along the main road beside Princess building near the rubbish area there. The seat on the coach is very spacious. No worries about leg space or whether you can recline seats a not :P

The ride took around 6 hours plus to Genting. No jam at the customs luckily. The journey along the highway was quite smooth as well. 2 stops were made along the way. First stop is at Yong Peng where you can eat, buy some stuffs and go toilet. The price of the stuffs sold there is not as cheap as compared to other places, but this rest stop is targeted for coaches so what can you expect? Second stop was along a petrol station along Kuala Lumpur. It's a toilet stop before heading up the mountains.

We alight the coach at Mushroom terminal in Genting and we need to take a shuttle bus up to First World hotel. When we reached there, there was a surchage of RM5 if we wish to check in earlier. We proceeded to the check-in machines to do the check-in straight away. Otherwise we can't go anywhere easily with all our luggage. I got some assistance from a staff to do the check-in using the machines.

The machines will randomly allocate your rooms and if you want to make any changes or requests, you will need to queue up for the counter staff to assist you and pay RM15 for any requests. We queued as we wanted to request for connecting rooms. Otherwise, our 2 rooms are at different floors. Finally we got our rooms!

It's a rather compact room that just fits the beds and cupboards. The shower and toilet bowl are separated with the sink outside. No hooks in the small showering area to hang clothes though, so you can only hang your clothes outside. The showering foam they provide is 3 in 1. That means for hair and body. So you might want to bring your own showering foams. Toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided as well.

Also, no wifi in the hotel. The place you can connect to wifi as far as I know is buying a cup of Starbucks and there will be a wifi code on the receipt for you to access Starbucks's internet.

We went for some food after that. The queues for food were sooo looong everywhere..

Chicken rice. My mum says should have quite alot of msg cause she feels thirsty after eating this.

Nasi rendang. The curry is quite fragrant.

The noodles are abit to sour-ish to my liking. But it has the same nice rendang.

We walked around the place to see what other stalls there are and familiarize ourselves to the place after that. Then us kids went to visit Ripley's museum. Entrance fees are a bit high for non-locals so my parents didn't want to go in.
Entrance

Coin covered car

Slanted room

Considering this is our first time visiting Ripley's museum, it was quite fun. There are a few interactive displays as well.

Other attractions that we visited during our stay were Snow World, an indoor snow area, arcade and bowling.

We tried a few of the restaurants near First World and they were mostly disappointing. We finally found a nice chinese restaurant near Maxims hotel and we went back there for most of our meals after that ;) It's called good friends restaurant.

This restaurant!

This was what we had the first dinner we ate there.

Chicken. Well-flavoured but a bit dry.

This is nice!! The fats literally melt in your mouth!

Tofu.

Dessert!

Visit them in the morning and they serve dim sum! We ordered too much! >.<

Overall, Genting is quite an expensive part of Malaysia to visit since it attracts a lot of tourists. Since there is no themepark there when we visit, you won't want to stay there longer than 4 days. After 4 days, there is nothing much to do, furthermore you have no internet to play phone games as well! Maybe I should visit Genting again once the themepark opens! :D
