Craive New York at Shinsaibashi!

Pior to the trip, we researched on where to go to do our hair! We decided to go to Craive New York as they advertised on whynot? website. You can also visit their own website in Japanese and in English. I made a reservation by emailing them! However, I did not receive any response.. making me uncertain of my booking, but when I reached their hair salon, I realised that they did receive my reservation just fine!

So... once we reached Japan, our first stop is to head to Shinsaibashi to Craive New York! We got slightly lost on the way though.. We couldn't find exit 3 that leads out to Craive New York when we left the subway. WE HAVE NO INTERNET CONNECTION TOO, as we have not checked in our airbnb apartment yet! I believed we walked out of the wrong side of the subway as we didn't realised we need to start finding the exit sign at the platform. It was really terrible as we were pulling our luggage and carrying them up and down the stairs, even though they are not that heavy, it was stressful to find a place with no wifi and with your luggage with you.

Eventually, we asked 2 young Japanese girls for help, took us some time to figure out where the place is and finally we reached! :D phew! Best to have an internet connection before trying to find the place by yourself! Or at least find THAT CORRECT EXIT!

Anyways, back to the review of Craive New York!
The location is easily accessible (if you come out from the correct exit!) You will see the directory at the first floor of the building. Just take the lift up to 9th floor and you will be in the salon. The view from  the hair salon is good, I was people-watching while waiting for my hair to be done!
The staffs were very friendly, although not all the staffs were very fluent in English! They do have one stylist who is better in English and he tries his best to strike a conversation with us! :D

I knew what I wanted and had a picture, so I just showed the stylist. I wanted to do a black to brown ombre hair! My friend was not sure what she wanted, but she had a rough idea that she wanted to perm and highlight her hair; just not sure of style and colour. The stylist took some time looking at her hair and managed to convey to us that her hair is quite fragile/damaged and recommended her not to perm her hair. So she just highlighted her hair and did treatment. We were quite impressed that they really care about our hair!

Also, the hair stylist who was doing my hair seems quite a perfectionist! ;) After the first round of colouring my hair, he did not seem to be satisfied with the colouring. Furthermore, I said my hair looks fine when he asked me ;) In the end, he still decided that he will add more brown colour to my hair!

I highly recommend this place! Especially since first-timers to the salon receives 30% off their visit! The staffs are well-trained and really cares for your hair. Their English is mostly understandable and they try their best to provide their best service and hospitality to you! When we were leaving the salon, it was still slightly drizzling. The better English-speaking hair stylist asks if we had umbrellas and I said that we will buy one. He immediately offers us 2 umbrellas from the salon to us! SO NICE! *melts~* (it also helps that they were all rather good-looking in their own way.. oops!) OH! He also asked if we would like to use the toilet before we leave. I have never heard such offering in Singapore! They really take good care of us! :D

My ombre hair! The curls he did when drying my hair was already loosening by night!
