BodyFit at Fitness First

I has signed up for a gym membership with Fitness First after attending their trial lesson at their flagship store at Market Street. My membership is under the family rate and cost $145 per month for 12 months. In June when I signed up, there was a promotion for the BodyFit session; that is 3 60-minutes session with a personal trainer. So I took these 3 sessions as well.

After booking the session with the trainer, the first class involves going through personal goals and assessing our fitness level.
What he did to assess my fitness:

  • Run 10 minutes on the treadmill as fast as you can
  • Do as many push ups as you can (upper body)
  • Do as many squats as you can in 1 minutes (leg)
  • Plank for as long as you can (core)
  • Sitting down, stretch your hands to your toes (flexibility)
  • Stretch your arms to the back and touch your hands, something like this
After assessing, the trainer will plan exercises for you to do in the second session.

For our last session, as I requested that I would like to know how to use the gym equipment after this personal training, he plans to use the last session to run through the equipment. At the end, he will advise on how to continue training to reach my fitness goal.
