JAPAN THEMED RESTAURANT: NINJA KYOTO

Ninja Kyoto (忍者京都迷宮殿) is a ninja-themed restaurant. They have different stores within the premise, including: Sweets of Ninja, Shabu Shabu Ninja, Dining Theatre, Restaurant Ninja & a souvenir shop! Visit their website for details on each shop type! For us, we went for Restaurant Ninja!

I have made a reservation online prior to our Japan trip. It is very simple! You select the restaurant you want to dine in, key in your details, and once they accept your reservation, you will receive their email confirmation.

The restaurant is even dark coloured outside! The staff will guide you to enter the restaurant after checking the reservation. We are brought into a rather dark room to walk down to meet the staff alone. The staffs communicate well enough in English for us to understand the 'story' that builds the ninja atmosphere!

After our journey, we are brought to our cave for our dinner! The restaurant is rather dark throughout and you are advised to remember your seat number! In case you get lost inside the restaurant, the staffs will be able to guide you back to your seats with that number!

We ordered the Hanzo Course (2,700 yen) and those menu items with 2 choices, we had 1 each!

The shurikens are crackers to be eaten! Not much taste, but it is a fun and cool dish!

This is rather filling! Quite a big slice of tofu! Not gonna spoil the 'illusion' for you! :P

Nothing special..

During your meal, a ninja will come and perform a short performance! It's just simple magic tricks but the ninja is very engaging! We laughed and had fun!

Overall, most of the dishes were good enough and the theming and atmosphere was great! Definitely worth a visit! If I go Kyoto in the future, I would visit Ninja Kyoto again and try the other stores available! Maybe the Dining Theatre? :D
