DAY 5 in SEOUL: Tricked in Trickeye!

Day 5:
Shop at Edae
Visit Trickeye museum
Shopping at Hongdae
Shop at Edae

We started the day having breakfast at Paris Baguette at Seoul Station. I think taste around the same as the ones in Singapore; which to me, I feel it tastes average only.

Then we made our way to Hongdae to visit Trickeye museum! It's located here! Admission price is 15,000 won each but we visited during Korea Grand Sale and managed to get some discount upon presenting the voucher!

Some photos taken in Trickeye~

This is an interactive game where you get to fight and defeat the NPC. See the health bar?

There is a small carnival area. Each ticket allows you to play 1 game inside.

We played this

There is also an ice museum inside where temperature is -7°C. They only provide you with a waterproof cloth to wear over your clothes. Since we were there during autumn, we were prepared for the cold weather already. Even with our sweater and jackets, it is still chilly!
Merry Christmas!

On the way out, we were greeted by superman! ;P

We visited a cafe before lunch! Imi! For detailed directions & review, read >>here<<.

We ordered 1 original and 1 honey flavoured! I like the original flavour more! Best fried chicken ever! :D We walked and shopped a bit in Hongdae before going to Edae to do more shopping! In general, I think the clothes in Edae are cheaper. Since we were not feeling very hungry that night, we had dinner at Isaac! For detailed directions & review, read >>here<<.

DAY 4 in SEOUL: Fun in Lotte World!

Day 4:
Visit Lotte World
Shop at Lotte Duty Free Department Store
Shop at Myeongdong

Today, we visit Lotte World! 2 of our friends didn't join us though. But, before the 2 coffee addicts go on their separate ways, we grab a cup of coffee at Angel-in-us at Seoul station. I ordered a cappuccino today!

Then we took a train to Jamsil station to go to Lotte World! We bought the tickets at the counter and in we go! Anyways, Lotte World is a theme park filled with thrilling rides, an ice rink, different kinds of parades as well as a folk museum, a lake, and much more. It is also the biggest and largest indoor theme park in the world. The theme park has a lot of children's rides.

Rides we played:

  • French Revolution (indoor roller coaster)
  • Desperados (shooting game)
  • Pharaoh's Fury
  • Bumper Car
  • The Comet Express
  • The adventures of Sindbad
First ride of the day is Desperados. No queue yet.. Quite fun!

Ride the horse and shoot!

Random photos of pictures I remembered to take~
Adventures of sindbad: Not worth spending time; just an indoor ride and watching the various interior design. I suppose they are telling a story but it is all in Korean.

 Inside sindbad ride

We went to the outdoor area~

There was already a queue when we were there but we queued anyways. Can't miss out the fun of bumper car since we rarely find it in Singapore nowadays.
Bumper car ride!

Nice scenery

Comet express - a bit similar to Disney's Space Mountain I guess?

There was a area which has wall murals, similar to Trickeye Musuem in Lotte World. Of course, we snapped some photos there.

Before lunch, we queued for French Revolution. The ride was super fast and short! But we queued for slightly more than half an hour though, since the fastpass timing is like 6 plus which is quite late, we decided to just queue.

Our food

Hmm.. Can't expect much from theme park food right? It's considered the less tasty meal we had in Korea. After lunch, we walked around to see what rides we want to take. We initially wanted to ride the hot air balloon ride after the waiting time was too long. We found an ice cream store though.
Fruity ice cream

We bought kiwi and mixed fruits!

I liked the kiwi one better cause the mixed fruit one is a bit too milky for my liking! We also had mini-melts! Some banana flavoured one...

We had wanted to go to the folk museum in Lotte World, but somehow I misplaced my tickets. Most likely it fell off somewhere during my coaster ride >.< Without the ticket, I need to pay extra entrance fee so in the end, we didn't go in. Oh well.. Better remember to keep your tickets in a safe place!

We left Lotte World and walked a but around their department store. I managed to buy Elizabeth Arden's eight hour lip balm at 10,000won (SGD 12.50)! It costs more than S$20 when I bought in Singapore! I bought 2 lips balms! Then, we went to Myeongdong to do some comestics shopping! But first, we bought a snack!

This is yummy! Buy and eat!

Most of our products came from The Face Shop. We also visited Laneige, Etude House, Nature Republic and Holika Holika.
Our facial loots (4 people worth!)

After crazy shopping and the epic drama when I was physically pulled into one of the Holika store by the staff, it was time for dinner at Myeongdong Kyoja Main Restaurant (명동교자). For detailed directions & review, read >>here<<

The noodles were good! And very filling! Yummy! After dinner, we carried our bags back to our apartment >.<

And... that's the end of Day 4!
