Review of Singapore Airlines between Singapore & Tokyo

Our flight timings for Singapore Airlines were:
Singapore to Tokyo Haneda Airport: 1.55pm to 9.50pm
Tokyo Narita Airport to Singapore: 8.50pm to 3am

Flight cost: S$635, inclusive of 30kg of check-in luggage and 7kg carry on luggage

Review:
It's our first time riding our National airline! First time seeing a menu in-flight on the types of meal they provide. Although when the meal came, it was quite confusing since the air stewardess asked if we wanted "chicken" or "pork" instead of the "international" or "Japanese" meal selection.

In-flight magazine and menu

Seats were big enough and TV and remote were working fine. SQ has quite a large selection of movies, dramas and music playlists to choose from. Most are quite updated but the playlist does have a lot of old singers.

We were served peanuts and drinks. No worries in not having water to drink on the flight. We were served water/juices quite frequently.
Snacks

During flight. I usually don't have much of an appetite. I ordered the Japanese selection/"pork". The cake is tough. Rice a bit too sticky and I have no appetite. Surprisingly, the cold soba was very delicious! Well, it is definitely served chilled and somehow, quite shiok when you dip the cold soba into an equally cold sauce. :P
International lunch

Japanese lunch

And. first time having magnum in-flight! We shared 1 since I have no appetite and my friend is full from her meal.
Magnum for dessert

On our return flight, we were provided with a small pack with toothbrush and socks. I guess since it's a night flight. At least I managed to brushed my teeth before stepping off the plane and I felt a bit cleaner >.<
On our return flight, SQ provided toothbrush and socks in a pack

I let my friend tried the cold soba previously and this time, she ordered the japanese selection too! ;) The no appetite me finished off the cold soba. The rest I just took a few bites here and there.
Both of us had Japanese dinner

Plus points: TV has a lot of movies to choose from. I liked the cold soba. Plenty of water/juices is served throughout the flight.

Minus points: In-flight food were average, other than the cold soba, but then it might just be me. Not enough latest songs?

Overall:
If you are not that rich like us and you happened to chance upon SQ's promo, it is definitely worth it to buy! In-flight entertainment and service is good and it's a direct flight to Tokyo! SQ provides you with 30kg of checked-in luggage which we needed!
