DAY 2 IN OSAKA: Dotonbori & Nipponbashi Den-den town

Time for our itinerary for Day 2!

Day 2:
• Breakfast at Endo Sushi
• Brunch at Kani Doraku Honten @ Dotonbori
• Explore Nipponbashi DEN-DEN Town
• Visit a maid café  (too intimidated to go in so didn't go)
• Shop at Amerikamura
• Head back to Dotonbori (we walked around Dotonbori while waiting to eat at Kani Doraku)

Woke up early to go to eat at Endo Sushi! Their main branch is located at Osaka Central Fish Market. Our apartment is located within cycling distance to Endo Sushi, so our morning exercise was to cycle there! ;P We parked our bicycles near the entrance of the fish market and walked in to find Endo Sushi. And... we found a queue! ENDO SUSHI!

They have an English menu but it reduces the choices we can order as well. The store does sell other food not in the English menu.. Too bad for us since we can't read Kanji! Anyways, the English menu!

You can choose the plate that you want.We had plate 1, 2, 4 and a bowl of miso soup each!

The sushi taste so fresh and good! That thick, juicy salmon... Would definitely come back here for sushi whenever I am in Osaka! For directions and store details, click >>here<<

After our delicious breakfast, we need to head back to our apartment. While walking back to our bicycle, we saw this!

Cherry blossoms are starting to bloom!!

Anyways!~ We left our bicycles at the apartment and went to HEP FIVE for our first Purikura! You can read here for details on Purikura!

Purikura!

Then it is time to head to Dotonbori for some serious shopping!
At Dotonbori!
Glico man!

We planned to eat at Kani Doraku Honten (Crab Restaurant) and when we approached the staff, he told us that the waiting time to eat at Kani is 2 hours later! :O Lucky for us that we went to check first! Otherwise, we will not be able to eat there after we are done shopping! He gave us a ticket and told us to come back 2 hours later.And... We bought some ice cream to snack on!
Ice cream vending machine!

Tried the special flavours!

We shopped along Ebisubashisuji Shopping Street. Most of the items sold there were quite affordable! We went in several accessories shops and the DAISO located near there (google ダイソー なんば戎橋店 for location)! 2 hours passed quickly. We did not have time to complete the street but we need to return to Kani restaurant for our lunch already!

Look for the Huge Crab and that's the store!

View from our seats!

Sweets! Guess their flavour!

Matcha ice cream!

Crab posed for us! :D

Time to head down to Nipponbashi den-den town! While walking there, we saw a uncle selling ice cream!
Yeah to more ice creams!

Manga and anime shops!

e-maid café!

Finally, we are back at Namba station! We tried the meat buns from 551 Horai! For directions and store details, click >>here<<

I think it tastes a bit salty and the bun taste normal. When we bought the steamed buns, there wasn't much people. Anyways, 551 Horai has several branches so if you want to try but there is a long queue, I suggest to go another time as you will most likely see the stores around Osaka.

Time to head to Amerikamura! We wanted to go to the shop 'Alice one Wednesday,' selling various Alice in Wonderland themed items. However, when we were there that night, they have already closed for the day. The stop is opened, but the tickets they gave out for patrons has ended. :( Nevermind, let's have giant cotton candy to cheer up and come back another day!
Big and colourful cotton candy at Amerikamura!

Walked around Amerikamura but we didn't see anything we like.. There are a lot of clothes stores but they are not our dressing style! Time for some takoyaki then! We had takoyaki at Kougaryu (甲賀流). We liked their takoyaki a lot! It doesn't taste too 'flour-y'. It is very light and very hot! We tried the original flavour! For directions and store details, click >>here<<

Very quiet at night since it is close to closing time!

Original flavour takoyaki!

For dinner, we wanted to eat at Itamae Yakiniku Itto. When we reached there, the staff told us it is full and we had to wait for an hour or so >.< Wandered around aimlessly before deciding to find a café to rest and snack.. Our hands were full of our shopping loots! For directions and store details, click >>here<<
Ended up in poundhouse

Desserts before dinner :P

We must order 1 cake per person >.< We had wanted to share one since we are having dinner later.. oh well.. Can't remember the names of the cakes we had already (must take photo of the menu next time I go overseas!) but the one on the left side taste too bad!

Finally, dinner! Itamae Yakiniku Itto (板前焼肉一斗東心斎橋店)! For directions and store details, click >>here<<
 Store front

They do not have English menu if I didn't remember wrongly. They have Chinese menu so it was alright for us! Overall, it was a good meal! Meat was tender and with the sauce provided, it makes the meat more flavourful!

Back at the apartment, we had ice cream bought from 7-11 before sleeping!

And... that's the end of Day 2! Still have a lot more posts to go! >.<
*Continue to Day 3!~
