JAPAN THEMED RESTAURANT: SENGOKU BUYUDEN

Sengoku Buyuden (戦国武勇伝 新宿), another restaurant under Diamond Dining group, is a samurai themed restaurant located at Shinjuku.

Once you alight from the lift, you will feel that you have time traveled back to another era; where samurais and warlords exist. You are then guided to your enclosed and private seat.

Beef?? I think..

Chicken~

I'm not really into the warlords and samurai history of Japan, so I do not feel much another than the restaurant's atmosphere bring us to a past era. The food were good though as usual, themed restaurants serves food that are a bit more expensive. The experience was still good!

DAY 11 in TOKYO: Flowers Galore~

Day 11:
• See Wisteria in Ashikaga Flower Park
• Returned to Ikekuburo to take more Purikura!

Time to travel to Tochigi to visit Ashikaga Flower Park! Long journey ahead! 2hr plus~ We woke up at 6am to make our way to Shibuya station. I grabbed a coffee from the vending machine on the way there!
Rainbow blend coffee to start the day!

How we travelled to Ashikaga Flower Park~ The nearest train station is Tomita station and you will need to walk around 15mins to reach the park.

After the looooong train ride, we reached Oyama station and we boarded a real old school train where the train doors are not automated! :O
Pretty flowers at Oyama station!

The old school train!

When we reach Tomita station, it's like we are in a different world! Gone are the high-raised buildings and fast-paced atmosphere!

Laid back town

Took us a while to walked to the flower park, but it was a nice stroll in a fine weather :) The entrance fee varies according to how much the flowers are in bloom. Unfortunately, we were a bit early to view the wisteria flowers in their full bloom glory. Hence we paid a lower entrance fees. Not to worry, the smaller wisteria trees had bloomed and there are lots of other flowers to take pictures with!

I highly recommend coming to the park at the earlier part of the day! There were lesser people around. In the later part of the afternoon, the crowds came; including tour groups, so it is not as peaceful and more difficult to take photos.
We reached Ashikaga Flower Park!

How about some wisteria ice cream? :P

After all the walking and photo-taking, we have an early brunch in the restaurant at the flower park!

We were the first customers!

We shared a set! The dishes were all tasty =P

After brunch, we decided to revisit Ikebukuro; mainly cause we wanted to take more cosplay purikura! ;P We headed for some light snack and dessert at Milkyway cafe, a star themed diner first. Click >>here<< for more info & detailed direction.
