JAPAN THEMED RESTAURANT: SWALLOWTAIL CAFE

Swallowtail cafe is a fine dining restaurant where you are served by butlers. You get to experience being an ojousama; meaning young lady, for the duration you are in the cafe. There won't be pictures to show you since photo taking is not allowed. The butlers' also keeps all your things in their lockers.

Reservation
Reservation is allowed up to 2 weeks in advance. Take note of their closing dates and decide on the meal that you would like, tea or dinner.

From the home page, click "ご予約"

Click on the button pointed by the red arrow. You can read through the 'English Guidance' for the rules of the reservation.

Select the date and time and number of guests visiting.

Key in your details

I'm afraid to click the confirm button in case it is the last step to reserve. Anyways, your reservation is only confirmed once you receive a second email from Swallowtail.

First email indication temporary reservation

Second email containing confirmed reservation details

And the reservation is done! Their reservation can get popular since I initially wanted to book for their dinner. But by the time I went in, I wasn't able to get a suitable date for dinner so I ended up booking for tea instead.

Dining

This is the only picture I have >.<

The butlers' have basic knowledge of English and I can catch some Japanese words, so we kind of managed to converse and understand one another.

Upon telling the butler of our reservation, we were brought into the restaurant. We saw people waiting outside, maybe they don't have a reservation? We were brought to a place with lockers and the butlers proceed to take our bags and coats to hang and put inside. Essentially, you will end up entering the dining area with nothing except your own self :/

The dining area looks very grand and elegant; definitely makes you feel like an ojousama despite us feeling a bit awkward with the attention and trying to be prim and proper >.<

We had the afternoon tea, Victoria set I believe. If you want to eat the other item or have your tea refilled, you are supposed to ring the bell on your table and the designated butler will come and serve you.

The food was delicious, if only we could have dinner. Hopefully next time! Oh, and you have a timing assigned to stay in the restaurant. The dining time is longer for dinner but I don't recall how long already. We saw a Japanese lady conversing with her butler as well. I guess they don't want guests to take up too much time inside.

DAY 10 in TOKYO: Meeting Doraemon! [Part 1]

• Travel to Doraemon Museum
• Head to Ikebukuro
1. Sunshine City
2. J-World Tokyo (Went to Namja Town only since we find that we were unwilling to spend so much on entrance fees)
3. Namja Town
• Dinner at Swallowtail Café

To get to Doraemon Museum, exact name being Fujiko · F · Fujio Museum, you need to board a bus from Noborito station. It is a 10 mins bus ride for 210 yen. You can just pay by tapping your SUICA card as well.

Take note that the entrance tickets can only be brought locally from the convenience store Lawsons using the Loppi machines. My airbnb host had kindly help me with my request to purchase the tickets for me! :D If you want to check on the tickets availability, click >>here<<

Doraemon themed bus!

Blue seats!

Cute doorbell!

Quite a number of Japanese boarded the bus as well. Seems like this museum is quite popular with the locals! During the bus ride, the Japanese seems excited over seeing some things along the way. Not sure what's going on though >.< Japanese not good enough yet! We arrived before the museum is opened and a short queue had formed!
Doraemon themed even on the walls!!

Variety of decorations to look at while queuing~

We were given a guide and a machine to listen to the stories for the exhibitions. Photo taking is not allowed within the indoor exhibition area!

We are out of the exhibition to take photo!

Even the water fountain looks cool!

Let's read Doraemon?

Vending machines for Doraemon goodies!

2D1N Lexis Hibiscus @ Port Dickson

My friend and I bought a 2D1N coach tour to Port Dickson, Malaysia. It will be our first time to Port Dickson. This location seems a bit out of the way for most tourists as it is further down from Melaka.

Seems that I didn't take much photos other than the resort ones. The coach did brought us out to eat if we do not wish to dine within the resort. It is a few minutes drive out to their town area and it will not be convenient without transport.
We were brought to walk away a lighthouse

View of the ocean

Where the sky and sea merge~

Picture taken from Lexis Hibiscus. This is where we are staying for the night!
I cannot believe they built a resort just to shape it like a flower ;)

Resorts built over the ocean

Our room!
They have buggy to drive you directly to your room. You can also take the buggy from designated stations to return back to lobby if you do not want to walk there.

2 big beds!

A resort staff rang the door bell to pass us snacks!

Wardrobe

Separate shower and toilet
When you shower, the water doesn't flow quick enough to the drain and water ended up outside >.<

Sink

There is a glass panel to see the ocean o.o

Private pool at the back!

View from public pool

Buffet breakfast!! We were like the first to enter for breakfast ;D

Overall the resort is quite nice and if you are going there with like 3 other friends, the room is quite affordable for a short getaway!
