Forest Adventure

Went to Forest Adventure a while back as a birthday celebration for my brother! Reservation can be made online. The good thing is no payment is collected when making a reservation; after all, you wouldn't know if it will rain on the day you decide to go there! It is located at Bedok Reservoir~

We went for the Grand Course, of course ;P The description for the Grand Course on their website:
There are 35 different obstacles for you to tackle, divided into 4 individual sites – 2.5hr of exhilarating fun in the trees!
We have them all! awesome bridges, scary trapezes, wobbly logs and a fantastic big tarzan swing which you may also know as a “leap of faith”. Each site end with a great big long zip lines to fly over the reservoir!
We completed the course quite fast though! Around 1hour plus! Anyways, as the course depends on own ability to complete it, they have some age supervising instructions; do check out their website! There is also a safety briefing before you start the course.

Overall, it was a fun experience! The only downside I can find is the counter staffs wasn't too approachable and we find ourselves a bit lost on what and where we are supposed to go initially before the safety briefing. Also, they put a wrist tag on you and somehow, the one they put my sister is quite tight for both times. By the third time, the staff stuck it so loose that the wrist tag doesn't stay on my sister's wrist :/ Oh well, but the course was good though! There are 3 zip lines! :D

DAY 10 IN OSAKA: BECOMING WITCHES IN UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN

Somehow, I didn't managed to find time to update my blog eh? Well, my Japan posts is coming to an end but I need to post on my Korea trip soon >.< need to chiong finish my post!! Anyways, finally about our day in Universal Studios! It's Day 10!

Day 10:
• Universal Studios Japan!
• Go to Umeda Sky Building

I have purchased the tickets to USJ and the Universal Express Pass 5 online through their Japanese's site before going to Japan. I briefly mentioned the purchase here. It was not too crowded as I went on a Tuesday but some queues do have a wait time of 2 hours. We basically played the attractions available for our express pass only. It was too cold the day we went to USJ! brrr..

Rides we played:
  • Harry Potter and the forbidden journey
  • Hollywood dreams
  • The amazing adventures of spiderman
  • Back to the future
  • Terminator 2

Walking down to USJ

USJ!!

Cute food we saw in one of the shops!

I played Hollywood dreams first to clear off the roller coaster ride before lunch! I feel like I am getting too old for roller coasters! :/ We had some time before we can enter Harry Potter so we wandered around abit and hid in the shops when we can no longer stand the cold!
The forest towards Howarts!

The cold weather certainly made the snow feel realistic to us >.<

We played Harry Potter and the forbidden journey next! It was fun! We "flew" with Harry and the ride uses both real movements, structures and objects as well as animation to complete the ride experience! Awesome!!~ Harry Potter speaks in Japanese though ;D I would loved to ride it again if it wasn't for the long queue! :D

We had lunch at Three Broomsticks! We queued slightly before the lunch hour so the queue was not as bad. There are alot of decoration along the way before you reach the ordering counters.

Cool drinks dispensing machine!

You queue to order the food then you pick up your cutlery and sauces. You will be led to an available table by the staffs. We were asked if we wanted an outdoor seats and we were like "NO!" Too cold for us to eat outside! Not planning to shiver our way through lunch! >.<

Butterbeer! We ordered 1 hot and 1 cold, the cold one tastes better! The hot one tastes much sweeter and has no gas!

Cheers!

We explored Harry Potter area more before heading out to finish the rest of our rides!

-The amazing adventures of spiderman
This is also a simulation ride like Harry Potter. As usual, Spidey speaks in Japanese but you get the story anyways. It's a 3D ride so you wear 3D glasses for the animation. This ride is similar to our Transformer ride in Singapre!

-Back to the future
I have not seen this show before, but I understand this is quite an old ride than most Universal Studios no longer have. It's a simulation ride again~ You get into the car and travel through time. The pictures and animations definitely runs on lower resolution, but it was a good ride regardless.

-Terminator 2
This is a show! It uses the screen for animation as well as creating the backdrop when actors went up on stage to play their roles. Not too bad but it would have been better if I understood Japanese!

After finishing the rides, we bought some snacks! Minion popcorn and bun!

After a while more, we decided it was too cold and we are not interested to queue to ride the other rides, so we had an early dinner! Shabu shabu along Universal Studios street!

Look at those meat!

Quite shiok to have something hot after a cold cold day! It's buffet; so you can order more meat and get more ingredients from the aisle.

Then we head to Umeda Sky Building!
Looking up from the ground floor~~

Tickets purchased!

View from the building!

Escalator back down

Finally, we head back towards our apartment! We stopped by MacDonalds and had ice cream >.<

We bought a fruit sandwich from a shop at Osaka

And... that's the end of Day 10!
