DAY 2 in TOKYO: Exploring Odaiba!

Day 2:
• Shop in Odaiba
1. Aquacity Odaiba
2. Lunch at King of the Pirates
3. DiverCity Tokyo
4. Leisureland

After a good night's sleep, it's officially time to start our day in Japan!!! Time to explore Odaiba! Our first stop is Aquacity Odaiba! On the way there, we spotted a small Statue of Liberty.

Apparently, we were a bit early and the mall has yet to open x.x We walked around the mall's vicinity and took photos with sakura~

Street with sakura trees!! :D

Waiting for the mall to open~

Once the mall opened at 11am, we were hungry and wanted to eat first. Went to King of the Pirates, but it was closed for some event!! We were told to come back at a later time.. Oh well.. Our stomachs have to wait.. :/

Closed!! どうして~ T.T

So since we have some time before we can eat, we went to Sony ExploraScience at level 5 in Aquacity. The exhibits were quite interesting. Staffs are inside to show you how to use the exhibits and there are also information and guide in English as well. Hmmm.. thought we took some photos inside.. Might be using my friend's phone I guess, since they are not in the camera. >.<

Admission ticket: 500yen

I found photos taken at one of the exhibits

The bunny follows your movements!

We still had time after we are done with Sony Explorascience and we saw an arcade with Purikura booths at Level 4 when we went up to Sony Explorascience. So it's time for our first Purikura in Japan! Find out where I took Purikura for my Tokyo trip >>here<<

Finally, it's time for lunch!! King of the Pirates is located on the 5th level in Aquacity. The deco here is pirate-themed! King of the Pirates belongs to Diamond Dining group as well. For the lunch set, just order a set and you can also take food from the buffet area as well. There are salads, soups, bread and chocolate fondue at the buffet table. Grilled chicken steak with basil and lemon sauce

Hamburg steak

Waffle and marshmallow dipped with chocolate!

My grilled chicken steak has too much lemon sauce; it's a tad too sour. My chicken wasn't served hot as well, not sure if it's supposed to be like that, but I like my main dish hot. Also, the sauce is liked drizzled over the whole plate, anything you eat is sour.. The hamburg steak was good and warm though. We had yummy chocolate goodness to end our meal!

After our meal, we went to Le Edo store at Level 1 to buy some souvenirs as well as limited edition kit-kats! Then we headed to DiverCity Tokyo. On the way there, we saw pretty flowers!

We saw the Fujitv building too! It's a rather oddly-shaped building~

To Divercity~

You can refer to my planned daily itinerary to find out some of the shops I have listed that I intended to take a look at. There's a Gundam statue outside Divercity which is a must-take photospot! You can also walk the pathway beneath the Gundam statue!

Snack time at Calbee Plus!! It's located at Level 2 in Divercity. For detailed directions & review, read >>here<<.

Chips in chocolate sauce and soft serve

Good place to rest our legs while eating yummy chips! Beside Calbee Plus, there is a shop selling rather unique masks. We didn't buy any (I had given lots of masks as souvenirs when I went Korea last year), but I think this would be a cool souvenir to give? ;)
Doraemon mask anyone?

Later, we returned to Grand Pacific Le Daiba to drop off our shopping goods before making our way to Leisureland (東京レジャーランド); not the one we saw in Aquacity though, it's located on the map below.

Leisureland!

We tried playing one of the attractions - Ninja Castle. You get to throw some rubber Shurikens into holes in the wall. After which, you try to escape from the castle. There were smoke sprayed and thrilling music to scare you. However, we felt that it's quite expensive for a small castle. We just took another Purikura here and left after that.

Cost: 700 yen

Cool style Purikura~

We went to dinner back in Divercity after that. Interestingly, I am missing photos of our dinner at Premium Kaio (海王). Pretty sure I took some photos with my camera... Premium Kaio is at Level 6 in Divercity. There was a queue when we arrived. Lucky for us, we were able to jump abit of the queue when there was a counter/bar seat available and there were only 2 of us. For detailed directions & review, read >>here<<.

Sushi is sent to your table by train!

Number of plates of sushi we ate!

You order using the electronic pad and sushi is sent to your table by a train! We won't very hungry so eating sushi by plates is good. It's also the cheaper meal we had today! The it's back to our hotel and preparing for our next day's trip to Disneyland!! :D

And... that's the end of Day 2!
To Day 3!~
